Bananas are not only rich in potassium with about 450mg each but they also have 33mg of magnesium which has shown to be a very important mineral in those that have Fibromyalgia. They help strengthen the stomach lining and also help with indigestion. This is important for those Fibro sufferers that have problems with the absorbtion of nutrients. Bananas produce a thicker mucus barrier in the stomach lining that protects against stomach acids. They also contain protease inhibitors that help reduce H Pylori bacteria that has been shown to cause ulcers.
